Cooling Green Hydration Juice

Summer hydration recipe with cucumber, mint, green apple, spinach and coconut water

With the warmer weather, staying hydrated is about more than simply drinking water. This refreshing green juice provides water rich vegetables, potassium, vitamin C and naturally occurring antioxidants to support hydration and overall wellbeing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber

  • 2 celery sticks

  • 1 green apple

  • 1 handful spinach

  • ½ lemon, peeled

  • 1 small piece fresh ginger

  • A handful of fresh mint

  • 250 ml chilled coconut water (or filtered water)

  • Ice cubes

Method

Juice the cucumber, celery, apple, spinach, lemon and ginger, or blend with the coconut water and strain if preferred. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh mint.

Nutritional Benefits

✔ Supports hydration during hot weather

✔ Naturally rich in potassium

✔ Provides vitamin C and plant polyphenols

✔ Contributes fibre (if blended rather than juiced)

✔ Refreshing and naturally low in added sugars

Top Tip: Pair this juice with a protein rich breakfast or lunch rather than drinking it on its own to help support blood sugar balance.

Would need a royalty free image of green juice relevant to the ingredients I use.

Also thought about having a top tips bit and maybe adding this in a post as an extra with the recipe on social media maybe, Alos adding to letter a top tip bit for example:

Nutritionist’s Summer Hydration Tip:

Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink. Aim to sip fluids throughout the day and include water rich foods such as cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, berries and melon. If you’re exercising or spending prolonged periods in the heat, consider replacing electrolytes through foods such as leafy greens, avocado, natural yoghurt and mineral rich broths, rather than relying on sugary sports drinks.
